Regular-fit jeans with a straight leg and a high waist, in a wonderful vintage-like blue wash packed with remarkable character. Crafted from denim with a notably slubby weft, these jeans boast a distinctive and unique appeal. The subtle horizontal slubbiness it offers is, when paired with the delightful indigo hue and local tint, pure denim elegance. Born as a workhorse fabric, denim was (and can still be) rugged. One significant aspect of denim texture is the irregular thickness, known as slubs, of the yarns from which it is woven. This variation greatly impacts the texture of the denim—uniform yarns produce neat denim with a pronounced diagonal texture, whereas very slubby, irregular yarns create a vertical streakiness, a crosshatch texture, or the rarer horizontal weft slub texture. Indigo Illusion is a prime example of the weft slub. Woven from the relatively uniform warp (vertical) yarns and weft (horizontal) yarns with evident and long slubs, Indigo Illusion showcases a unique horizontally pronounced texture. This construction distorts the regular diagonal texture of the denim, giving it the appearance of a crossbreed between a twill and a canvas weave.
